Why Intentional Community?
Coooperative and Community Living offer many advantages:

Build social Connection and Teamwork for accomplishing big projects

Share resources across the community, giving individuals more access to resources such as land, equipment, knowledge, and skills, than they would be able to easily or affordably access on their own

Gain access to Farmland and help save Farmland from development. Farmland is being lost to development at a high rate, and the average age of farmers is climbing. With Cooperative land ownership, young folks and folks with fewer financial resources can access farmland, helping young people and new farmers get into farming, maintaining more land in farm use, and helping to stop the loss of farmland as farmers age out and land gets sold

Benefit from the wisdom and skills found in a collective group, which can act as a multiplier where the Whole is greater than the sum of the parts

Respond to climate change: By sharing resources across more people, total consumption is reduced, and the carbon and resource footprint per individual is also reduced. By cooperating on projects like growing food and producing clean energy, resiliency is enhanced

No, this community is not income sharing. It is resource sharing of the land and farm, and members have egalitarian input into decisions and plans
